Automotive Interior Parts

The first automotive part produced by WSA was the Kancil headliner for Malaysia's second national car manufacturer (Perodua) in 1999.

 

Since then, with the acquisition of CIM and JCAI the Group now has capabilities in designing and manufacturing of car interior parts and Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) products. The production lines are capable of manufacturing:

Rapid progress and expansion are made possible with strong support from the shareholders, and the dedication and motivation from our well-trained staff coupled with excellent cooperation from our technical and trading partners.

 

Besides moving forward with product intensification based on our own research and development programmes, we have also strengthened our technical and trading partnerships. To date, we work closely with EDAG Holdings Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDAG GmbH, the company with worldwide reputation in automotive design that includes car interior parts.

 

With about 20,000 square metres of factory floor area, four production lines and facilities that include robotic-controlled water jet cutter, the Group is now poised to grow into a one-stop car interior part manufacturer. The Group is continuously upgrading and improving its facilities in order to be competitive, especially with the Asean Free Trade Agreement now fully implemented.

 

Starting with supplying headliners to Perodua, WSA today is proud to be partners of other OEM manufacturers and assemblers that include Proton, Toyota, Honda, Isuzu, Hyundai and Volvo. We are in discussions with other OEM assemblers the Mecerdes Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Nissan.

 

As part of its corporate strategy to broaden its product base, in 2010 the Group signed an MOU with I.N.C Corporation Pty Ltd, Australia to explore the feasibility of setting up a manufacturing facility to produce DECI-TEX in Malaysia.

 

 

DECI Tex is a patented raw material which can be thermoformed into interior trim and sound insulation material. Comparing to the conventional raw material, DECI-TEX demonstrates superior quality and performance in Noise Vibration and Harness(NVH) area. In typical environment, DECI-TEX is able to perform two times in sound absorption coefficient with one third of the weight.
